Growing Glyphs was my final capstone project with Media Design School.
Growing Glyphs is a typeface that adds to the conversation around the power of diversity, drawing inspiration from the natural world around us. It offers designers and creators a tool to use in their impactful projects that surround topics such as diversity or social equity. Each letter of the alphabet is designed using biomimicry, offering a diverse spectrum of shapes to work with and adding deeper meaning and layers to any project.
Growing Glyphs serves as a visual metaphor for the ways in which diverse people can come together to create harmony and impact, especially as this benefits our future generations. By drawing inspiration from the natural world, this typeface invites viewers to reflect on the importance of celebrating differences and embracing inclusion.
The message is clear: just as nature thrives through diversity, so too can our communities when we embrace individuality and work together for a greater good.
